INTRODUCTION

Sara has a diverse knowledge of Education of students with Autism.  She has worked extensively with a wide variety of schools and Nurseries improving pedagogy and outcomes for children and young people with Autism. Sara is passionate about developing training for colleagues to enable them to become reflective practitioners with an in depth understanding of Autism and a knowledge of strategies to ensure students with Autism can access learning opportunities.

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Autism
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Language and Communication Difficulties in Children
  • Previous roles include;  working as part of Autism Support Service in Coventry, teaching in a Speech and Language Enhanced Resource Base, working as part of the Speech and Language Outreach team and working as part of the Communication 4 all project
  • Experienced in SCERTS, TEACCH, Social stories, Comic strip Conversations, Sensory Integration, Lego Therapy and Team Teach
  • Experience of AET Training and Auditing
  • Experience of delivering Autism specific Parenting courses
